    Möwebaai
Starting from Swakopmund, the trip begins at the Salt Pan Works just outside the town, where you will explore the Flamingo Sanctuary. Here you'll learn about the process of salt production, the significance of guano harvesting and the unique ecosystem that supports the birds. Along the way, you will visit Wlotzkasbaken, a historic German coastal settlement with local stories and traditions, and pause at the Musical Rocks, a rare natural wonder found only in Namibia. You will then arrive at Cape Cross, home to one of the world’s largest Cape fur seal colonies, and see thousands of seals in their natural habitat. The site also includes the historic cross left by Portuguese explorers in 1486, and you will hear about its links to Namibia’s past. After a quick, refreshing lunch in Henties Bay, the day ends with visits to the Zeila Shipwreck, a haunting reminder of the treacherous Skeleton Coast, and the Doughnut Rock, a geological formation shaped by time and the elements.
