On a Vieques Kayaks Bio Bay excursion you will paddle through Mosquito Bay on Vieques, Puerto Rico, in either solid or semi-clear-bottom kayaks. As you move through the water, the bay’s bioluminescence will glow around your paddle strokes and beneath the hull. The experience is guided, so you will be led through the waters of what is known as the brightest Bioluminescent Bay in the world. Along the way the bioluminescent display will be the main highlight. Be aware that Vieques is an island separate from mainland Puerto Rico, so you will need to reach the island by ferry from Ceiba or by plane from San Juan or Ceiba and stay overnight on Vieques. Children aged five and older may join when accompanied by a parent or adult. The excursions do not operate during full moon.

You’ll travel from San Juan to El Yunque Rainforest on a short, scenic drive before a brief hike along a private road to reach hidden rivers and natural waterslides. The Night Kayak: City Lights Tour in San Juan is an evening paddle across the lagoon that shows the city from a fresh perspective. This experience takes you into the east side of El Yunque National Forest in Puerto Rico with local guides who were born and raised on the island. Bottled water, professional photos and video are included. A short trail leads to waterfalls and two natural water slides where you can relax or be more active. Optional activities include sliding on the rock formations, jumping from different cliffs and using a rope swing; guides will capture photos and video of your time at the waterfall if you wish. You will depart from Villa Marina aboard the 43 ft Newton motor boat Tobias and head out across the sea towards Icacos Island. Along the way you will explore the waters surrounding the island and stop at a nearby coral reef. While at the reef, you will have a break for lunch and drinks provided on board, then continue on to the island’s beach. On the beach you can relax in the sun and enjoy the island atmosphere with more drinks available. The experience focuses on swimming, snorkelling around the reef and time on the sand, giving you chances to soak up the scenery and unwind. The trip is run from a single vessel with a maximum of 40 passengers. Children travelling with you must be at least 4 years old.
