  • Ultimate Mount Rainier National Park Self-Guided Driving Tour

    Brewster
This audio-guided experience takes you through the highlights of Mount Rainier National Park and its surrounding landscapes. As you move along Nisqually Twin Firs Trail beside Tahoma Creek, you will hear about the park’s Pacific Northwest legacy and the wildlife that inhabits Longmire. The narration brings to life the Tatoosh Range and the dramatic cascades of Christine and Comet Falls, while stories about John Muir and a pioneering woman climber add human history to the scenery. Along the route you will pass viewpoints such as Sunrise Point, Ohanapecosh and Tipsoo Lake, where the guide may invite you to pause and look for stars and alpine panoramas. The audio may also touch on nearby ancient burial grounds and the island’s rich culture, giving broader cultural context to what you see. The tour is delivered through an audio app by Action with lifetime access and offline listening, so you can play the commentary as you follow the suggested route and enjoy the park at your own pace.

At our homestead and working farm you'll have an opportunity to experience and learn about how and where your food comes from. The visit is hands-on and informal, so you may chat with the people who run the land and get a feel for everyday life on a small farm. As you move through the property you will explore different areas and learn about both the animals and the gardens. Animals include cows, sheep, goats, alpacas, pigs, livestock guardian dogs, bees and various poultry. You may have a chance to interact with some of the animals and possibly help bottle‑feed their young. Gardens include cutting flowers, vegetables and herbs, plus a greenhouse, berry patches and fruit trees for you to explore. Along the way you will see where food and produce are grown and kept, and gain a simple, practical sense of the farm’s rhythms and care.
