You’ll cross into Northern Cyprus after a short rest stop and explore the ancient ruins of Salamis. As you move through the site, you’ll see a grand theatre, Roman baths with intricate mosaics and the remains of a large gymnasium, all offering a clear sense of the city’s ancient scale and architecture.

In Famagusta’s old town you’ll encounter the Gothic and Ottoman layers of history, including St. Nikolaos Cathedral, now known as Lala Mustafa Pasha Mosque. Along the way you’ll view medieval landmarks such as the Venetian walls, Othello Tower and the ruins of the Venetian Palace. There is an optional traditional Cypriot-Turkish lunch should you choose to try local flavours. The tour ends in Varosha, the Ghost City abandoned in 1974, where you’ll walk through silent streets and see the haunting remains of a once-thriving resort, giving a glimpse into Cyprus’s more recent, complex history.
