This tour combines Nuremberg’s picturesque Old Town with a visit to the former Nazi Party Rally Grounds. You’ll explore the medieval city on foot with an expert guide, moving through streets and squares as they share the stories behind the city’s past and offer practical tips. Along the way you’ll see the marketplace (Hauptmarkt) and the Beautiful Fountain, wander the Imperial Castle courtyards, and pass St Lawrence Church and the Old Town Hall, along with other Old Town highlights.
You’ll take a break for lunch in the marketplace (own expense), then continue to the Nazi Party Rally Grounds. There you’ll learn about Nuremberg during the Third Reich and the infamous rallies while visiting the Congress Hall of the Nazi Party, the fairgrounds and the Luitpold Arena. Your guide will explain the history and show historical photos so you can compare the site then and now. All public transportation costs to and from the rally grounds are included.
