This tour introduces you to Ecuadorian culture, traditions, cuisine, history, nature, handicrafts and heritage in a single outing. With a friendly Ecuadorian tour guide, you will visit Pacoche and the Ciudad Alfaro museum, explore a coastal fish market to see how fish are brought ashore, and observe species such as sharks, marlin and tuna. Along the way you will see howler monkeys and other wildlife, plus the palm tree used to weave Panama hats. You will also watch artisans demonstrate how they make Panama hats and how they make buttons from a particular palm tree that grows only in tropical areas.

Please note that about 800 metres of the Pacoche trail are strenuous and are not recommended for travellers with heart or walking problems. Wear running shoes and bring mosquito repellent.
