Toledo hides another city beneath its streets. On this tour you will descend into that buried city and move through five underground spaces. These areas include the maze-like labyrinths and long galleries that run beneath Toledo and link parts of the old town. As you walk through them, you will get a different view of the city’s structure and layout.
Along the way you will hear the stories that surface when these hidden spaces are revealed. Your guide will explain the history and significance of the underground passages, and point out features and connections you might otherwise miss. The experience is conducted in Spanish and focuses on exploring and understanding the layers of Toledo that lie below ground.
