When you visit the Citadelle Gin Distillery at Chateau de Bonbonnet, located just 15 minutes from Cognac, you'll step into a fresh, summery atmosphere shaped by citrus scents. As you arrive, the scent of lemons may guide you across the grounds toward the distillery.
Along the way you'll see the juniper fields and their berries, then move into the heart of the craft where the distillation process is explained. You will be taken through the stages of gin making and shown how botanicals are used to create Citadelle Gin. The tour continues in the citrus greenhouse, a bright space that highlights the ingredients that flavour the gin, and finishes with a tasting of Citadelle Gin so you can sample the final product.
