At Maison ZEYSSOLFF you'll explore a working Alsace winery where century-old oak casks are still used in the vinification of the wines. As you move through the cellars you will see huge oak barrels with capacities of around 10,000 litres, including the historic ZEYSSOLFF barrel made in 1897 for the Paris Universal Exhibition (1900) that remains in use today.

The visit includes an immersive experience with projections on the barrels and an accompanying sound work — an installation described as unique in France. Along the way you will learn about the winery’s traditional barrel vinification and see how these historic vessels are part of current production. The tour is suitable for everyone and children are welcome. At the end you will be given a piece of Alsatian gingerbread and will leave with a bottle of home-made mulled wine. Most of the wines at Maison ZEYSSOLFF are organic certified.
