Tracey's Farmhouse Kitchen - Traditional Bread Making Experience

A small-group bread-making workshop in a farmhouse with soda, wheaten and potato griddle breads, homemade spreads, and recipes

Free cancellation available
Up to 24 hours before the start time
Duration: 2 hours 30 minutes
Service animals welcome

Tracey's farmhouse offers an immersive, authentic bread-making experience in a warm, homely setting. You will be welcomed with a spread of homemade and local award-winning treats, including hand-rolled butters (original and dulse), homemade jams and Tracey’s special soda fruit bannock, served with morning coffee.

Once the coffee is finished, you'll don an apron and start baking. All the breads you make—soda, wheaten and potato—are cooked on a griddle, so they come together quickly. Along the way you’ll learn how these traditional griddle breads are prepared and enjoy the hands-on process of shaping and cooking them.

After baking, you’ll return to the kitchen table for more tea and coffee and to taste the breads you’ve made. You’ll share the experience with locals and other visitors in a lively atmosphere. You’ll also take home a large bag of your own breads and a copy of all the recipes. Bring an appetite — you are expected to eat everything on the table.
