If you’re a fan of Doc Martin, this fully guided walking tour will take you around the fictional Cornish village of Portwenn — filmed on location in Port Isaac, a small fishing village on the Atlantic coast of north Cornwall. As you move through the lanes, you’ll see many of the show’s main locations, including the Doc’s house and surgery, Louisa’s school and Mrs Tishell’s pharmacy, along with other familiar spots from the series that first aired in 2004 and is now in its ninth series.

The tour is led by a local who has even worked as an extra on the show and shares anecdotes from the filming. Along the way you’ll learn about Port Isaac’s longer history, which stretches back to the time of Henry VIII, and follow hidden village paths past historical buildings and beautiful coastal views. You’ll gain insight into local life and have plenty of opportunities for photos. Because the route includes steps, the tour isn’t wheelchair-, mobility-scooter- or pram-friendly. Dogs are allowed on the tour.
