You’ll find a varied landscape of planted spaces to explore, beginning with the colour-themed Herbaceous Borders, where a wide mix of blooms creates a lively fiesta of colour throughout the year. As you wander the woodland paths of the Birch Grove, five species of birch from Asia and North America will be visible, offering a calm, shady route. Nearby, the Queen Mother’s Garden provides a quieter pause with lush tropical borders and sheltered spots beneath mature trees.

The Dry Garden presents about 400 species of drought-resistant plants, bringing together flora from the Mediterranean, South Africa, South America, Australia and California. The Global Growth Vegetable Garden rethinks the conventional kitchen patch, showcasing edible plants that range from everyday favourites to more exotic varieties. Along the way you’ll also encounter the Rose Garden and Rope Walk, where a flamboyant collection of roses fills the air with heady scents. The experience will guide you through contrasting plantings and ecosystems, from bright borders and woodland to dry-climate species and experimental vegetable displays.
