On this small-group afternoon walking tour of the Acropolis you'll be accompanied by a German-speaking licensed archaeologist and tour guide. The commentary will focus on the history and archaeology of the site, giving context to the monuments as you move through the area.
You’ll visit the Parthenon (entrance fee not included and will need to be paid on the day) and admire a collection of sculptures that span more than 2,500 years of history. Along the way you’ll see the Theater of Dionysus, the Healing Temple of Asclepius and the Odeon of Herodes Atticus. You’ll also view the Temple of Athena Nike (Temple of Wingless Victory) and the gateway to the Propylaeum, and go to the remains of the Porch of the Caryatids at the Erechtheum. From the Parthenon you’ll gain a broad view over Athens as your guide explains the significance of each landmark.
