On this tour, you will get to visit Meteora, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with breathtaking landscapes.
The area has Eastern Orthodox monasteries built on the top of rock pillars, where monks settled 11th century onwards. The tour will begin with your pickup and transfer to Meteora, where your guide will give you information about the area, its history and monks establishment of one of the biggest monastic community in Greece on top of the rocks. A strict dress code is required to visit the monasteries. Please make sure that your knees are covered for the entire duration of your visit. Shorts, skirts and sleeveless clothing are not permitted.
Please note that the tour price does not include admission to three main monasteries. An additional amount of EUR 5 will have to be paid for each one.
