This experience gives you a close look at Balinese special culinary traditions. You will visit a traditional market, meet and touch ingredients with local sellers, and have the opportunity to buy items such as spices, vegetables and meat. Along the way you will learn about the flavours and recipes that shape local cooking as your guide explains key ingredients and techniques.
You will also visit nearby rice fields, where an explanation of how Balinese people grow rice will follow. The unique Balinese irrigation system, known as subak, will be described so you understand how water and community work together in the landscape.
