Away from the busy streets of Bali, you’ll slow down in a meditative batik workshop set in a relaxed, scenic environment. The session focuses on the ancient Indonesian art of batik, and you’ll learn traditional techniques as you work. With guidance throughout, you’ll choose a design, draw with hot wax, and apply dyeing and painting methods to create your own tote bag to take home.
Along the way, you’ll practise mindful, hands-on crafting rather than just watching. The workshop is suitable for beginners and anyone curious about batik, and the teacher will offer support at each stage of the process. A Rp50,000 café credit is included for a drink or snack after the class. If you prefer a hotel or villa class, let the organiser know in advance; a teacher transport fee will apply.
