You will take the role of the pilot on a commercial flight that begins with the aircraft sitting on the runway and the engines running. After the operator’s take-off briefing, you will be at the controls and perform all manoeuvres from takeoff through the initial climb. Along the way you will handle the aircraft’s departure and climb phases as if you were flying the aircraft yourself.
After the initial climb, you can choose to fly an entire route or to practice several procedures around the departure airport. You may fly in any weather, giving you experience of different conditions while remaining in control. The simulation will conclude with the aircraft back on the runway after landing, leaving you to reflect on the takeoff, climb and procedural flying you have just completed.
