You’ll meet at Tramontano Castle in Matera, where your host will explain the rules and give you a map with riddles tied to the places you’ll need to find. Using both your brain and your legs, you’ll follow the clues and explore hidden corners of the city. Along the way you’ll uncover what the host considers to be Matera’s true gems, with local stories and context to help the sites come alive. The host will remain at the starting point to assist or offer hints if you need them.
At the end of the trail you’ll return to the starting point to decipher the key and open the treasure chest together. Your host will share additional stories and fun facts about the places you visited while you solve the final puzzle. Everyone receives a certificate, and the winner takes home the treasure. On request, you may ask for small gifts or personal notes to be placed in the chest to make the experience more special.
