At MAP - Magic Ancient Pompeii Virtual Museum you will step into a detailed 3D reconstruction of part of ancient Pompeii and take on the role of a participant in everyday Roman life. As you move through recreated streets, you will relive the splendour of domestic houses and the city’s most important buildings, and you may pause at a Roman banquet or look in on the Lupanar to see scenes of its more notorious pastimes.
Along the way, animated reconstructions will show you familiar landmarks from new angles. You will see what the Forum of Pompeii, the baths and the amphitheatre looked like from above and how they related to the rest of the city. The experience concludes with a dramatic presentation of the eruption of Vesuvius — the terrible event that destroyed the city but also preserved its memory through the centuries.
