On this two-hour walk, you'll have the opportunity to experience the highlights of Matera – a rocky settlement built between two canyons known for its unique cave dwellings.
Led by your guide, you'll explore Sasso Caveoso, one of Matera's two ancient districts. After taking in views of the city from Matera Cathedral's bell tower, you'll head to a traditional cave house, which has been in use since the Paleolithic era.
You'll also have a chance to visit the San Pietro Caveoso church as well as the Chiesa di Santa Lucia alle Malve cave church to see its 13th-century frescoes.
