You will experience Giuseppe Verdi’s La Traviata in the atmospheric setting of St Paul’s Within the Walls Church in Rome. The production is performed by Opera e Lirica singers accompanied by choir and orchestra, bringing the opera’s romantic and dramatic scenes to life as you listen to familiar arias and ensembles in a landmark venue.
The cast features Aleksandra Buczek as Violetta Valéry, Emil Alekperov as Alfredo Germont and Cristian Alderete as Giorgio Germont, with Anastasiia Demchenko as Flora Bervoix-Annina and a supporting cast including Andrea Pecci, Andrea Scorsolini, Matteo Nardinocchi and Giuseppe Trovato. Conductor Elvin Dhimitri leads the Opera e Lirica Orchestra, with a string section, winds and grand piano. The choir will perform a variety of roles such as servants, noblemen, friends of Violetta and Flora, picadores, matadores, gypsies and masks. Scenes and costumes are by Bolero Sartoria and the artistic direction is by Giusi Cuccaro, so you will see a full theatrical staging combining vocal soloists, chorus and instrumental accompaniment.
