In a local's home you will reconnect with family traditions and the seasonal produce of the land. As you move through the kitchen and the garden, your hosts will share the history of the place and the food. The experience is hands-on: you will help prepare dishes and taste the results together, with the hosts hoping the visit stays with you.
You will make fresh pasta following an old local tradition and learn practical tips for getting good texture. Together you will pick ingredients from the garden to use in the dishes. You will prepare two types of pasta: ravioli filled with ricotta, vegetables or meat, and noodles that you will dress with sauce, vegetables or an excellent pesto. You will also be shown an ancient recipe for a chocolate-and-pear cake. A good glass of wine accompanies the meal, and at the end of lunch you will be invited to taste the hosts’ homemade liqueurs.
