Step back in time and try life as a samurai with hands-on training led by a master and a local guide who will adapt the session to your level. You’ll change into a samurai outfit and take part in playful training that includes mini-games and light-hearted interactions. Staff will be on hand to help take lots of photos so you can keep the memories.
The experience typically offers Kyudo archery and katana training, and you may choose one or both. In the Kyudo part you’ll handle a real Japanese bow — it might even be taller than you — and learn how this traditional martial art differs from western archery. In the katana session you’ll practise the poses and the correct way to hold a single-edged sword, guided personally by the master. The instructor will tailor the pace if you’re a complete beginner, so no previous experience is required.
