This experience offers an authentic tea ceremony led by a tea instructor. In the first half you will watch how the instructor handles the utensils and conducts the ceremony. Matcha tea and a sweet will be served, and you will learn the proper manners for drinking. Along the way you can ask any questions about the tools, the movements or the etiquette.
In the second half you will try Bon Ryaku Temae, a simple tea ceremony for beginners. You will learn the Japanese names of the utensils, how to arrange them on the tray and how to whisk Matcha tea yourself. The session combines demonstration and hands-on practice so you can see the ritual and then take part.
