Guided Hanafuda Koi Koi session at KADARU+ with history and rules explained by an in-person guide

Free cancellation available
Up to 24 hours before the start time
Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes

At KADARU+ you can experience Hanafuda, the traditional Japanese card game with a history of around 200 years. Once used for gambling, Hanafuda is now widely enjoyed across Japan. There are several ways to play, and this experience focuses on the Koi Koi style of the game.

An in-person guide will lead the session and explain everything from the origins and historical context of Hanafuda to the specific rules of Koi Koi. The guide will teach how the cards work and how the Koi Koi variant is played, so even if you have never tried Hanafuda before you can join in comfortably. Because the guide is present in person, you need not worry about the language.
