Off the coast of Agadir, Morocco, you will find a renowned surf area that draws surfers from around the world to enjoy its waves, culture and famous Moroccan cuisine. From September to April the coastline benefits from constant swells. These North Atlantic swells, together with regular offshore winds, create consistently favourable surf. The area receives the same swell patterns as Atlantic Europe but is sheltered by the Azores and the great Cape Ghir, so the climate stays pleasant throughout the year.
You will find many different surf spots along the coast, so even when conditions are unfavourable at one break there is often a sheltered spot offering easier waves suitable for all levels. During May to August the waves tend to be smaller and cleaner, which is ideal for beginners. As you explore the area, you will experience the local surf culture and have the opportunity to enjoy Moroccan cuisine that surfers and visitors have long come to appreciate.
