On the Tara River you’ll navigate the emerald waters of Europe’s deepest canyon as captain of your own raft, guided by experienced, professional instructors. This packrafting experience comes from the pioneers on the Tara and is led by Montenegro’s first and currently only packrafting guide licenced by the International Rafting Federation (IRF). Group sizes are strictly limited and top-tier gear is provided so the focus stays on safety, learning and the ride itself.
Along the way you’ll explore the canyon’s dramatic scenery from the water rather than from crowded rafts or bridges. Under the guides’ supervision you’ll build packrafting skills, practice safe techniques and gain confidence on moving water — no prior experience is needed. The emphasis is practical and supportive, with the guides helping you handle the raft while you steer through the river’s channels and currents. The result is an active, hands-on way to experience the Tara River Canyon and the clear, green water that runs through it.
