This two-day experience takes you by river and jungle to some of the region’s most important Mayan sites and natural highlights. In the morning you stop en route for breakfast, then transfer to the Corozal border jetty and take a boat to the archaeological area of Yaxchilán. Later you visit Bonampak, and you will have a free afternoon to explore at your own pace. Dinner is included on the first evening, and you stay overnight in cabins set within the jungle in the Lacanja community.
On the second day you have an included breakfast before heading into the Lacandon jungle for a hike to the waterfalls on the Mactunina River. Food is included during the day. After the hike you return to Palenque. The trip combines archaeological visits, a river crossing, an overnight jungle stay and a rainforest walk to waterfalls, giving you time to see ruins and enjoy the natural surroundings.
