Each evening the guide will use the latest weather update to choose an area around Tromso with the best chances for clear skies, and you will head out on a Northern Lights chase by minivan. You will be picked up outside the main entrance of the Radisson Blu Hotel and walked about 100 metres to the operator’s office, where the guide will show you the proper Aurora and night‑photography settings for your camera or mobile phone.
You will be given warm overalls and boots, and offered coffee, tea and muffins as you wait. The minivan will take you to the chosen viewing spot; some nights the Aurora may be visible as soon as you arrive, while other evenings you will relax with refreshments while waiting. An English‑speaking guide will give photography tips during the trip, and pictures taken on the tour will be sent to your email. Minivans carry up to eight participants each, with up to four minivans used on busy nights.
