You will share a landscape full of stories. This experience is designed for anyone, so no prior experience is required. Your guide will be with you throughout and will supply all the gear and the information you need.

As you move through the area, your guide will share the stories that connect people to the land and point out features that bring those stories to life. Along the way you will learn about the landscape’s character and context, and you will have opportunities to ask questions and take in the surroundings at your own pace. Everything required for the outing is provided, so you can focus on listening, exploring and enjoying the place.

    At Kaiteriteri: There is a large, all-day parking area on the left after you cross over the estuary bridge. It is located across the road from the main beach and is free parking (just a $10 charge for peak season parking - 20 Dec to 10 Feb) Our check in/ticket booth is located in the courtyard The Water Front Restaurant and the On the Spot store. Driving Times Nelson to Motueka 50 minutes (51 kms, 32 miles) Motueka to Kaiteriteri 20 minutes (14 kms, 8.5 miles) Marahau to Kaiteriteri: 7.5 kms, (4.6 miles). Driving time approx. 20 minutes Please contact us if you need transport from Nelson or Motueka. This is an extra charge for day trips ($60 Return ex Nelson, $25 ex Motueka)
