At Hell’s Gate in Rotorua you’ll explore one of the region’s most unique geothermal reserves. You may take part in either a guided or self-guided interactive geothermal walk, moving through the boardwalks and interpretive areas to learn about the site’s geothermal wonders. Along the way you can join an interactive session in the carving house and try your hand at Māori carving.
After the walk, you can soak in geothermal mud and sulphur waters and experience the healing properties local Māori have been using for centuries. Complimentary guided tours are available if you prefer a guided route through the reserve.
