In this hands-on class you’ll listen to the history of cacao and learn how to make chocolate from bean to bar. As you move through the process, you’ll prepare the traditional chocolate drink once enjoyed by Aztec kings and learn about the ingredients and techniques behind it.
You’ll finish the session by creating your very own chocolate bar to take home. The class will also include a chocolate tasting, where you’ll try both gourmet and commercial chocolate and see if you can spot the difference between them. Along the way, you’ll get a practical sense of the flavours and textures that distinguish handcrafted chocolate from mass-produced varieties.
