Duration: 45 minutes

At the Chestnut Interpretive Center you’ll enjoy a straightforward, informative visit focused on chestnut products. You’ll taste Marron liqueur, an exclusive chestnut spirit from the centre’s grocery store, served with regional confectionery—typically the local Chocolate Billiard. The tasting is presented alongside plain explanations about the product and its place in local food traditions.

You’ll also see the centre’s collection of chestnut roasts. The display brings together specimens from Portugal, Spain, France and Italy, so you can compare different styles and varieties as you move through the exhibit. Along the way you’ll learn about the roasts on show and how they relate to the region’s chestnut culture. The overall visit is focused on seeing the collection and sampling the Marron liqueur with the accompanying sweet.
