Set out from the Portuguese coast on a boat trip that aims to locate dolphins and other marine mammals in the wild. As you move through these waters, the fully trained crew will assist in the search and share expert information about the marine life found here and along the coastline. You may encounter dolphins and whales in their natural environment, but sightings cannot be guaranteed.
The team has been trained by André and Joana, the founders of AIMM (Marine Environment Research Association), and the operator has their seal of approval for dolphin and whale watching. For every adult ticket sold, a small donation (.50c) is made to AIMM to support marine research and conservation. A bottle of mineral water is provided when you board.
You should pack sun cream, a hat and a smile for the trip. If there’s a chilly breeze or the day is cooler, remember to bring a jacket. The crew will offer information and context throughout, so you’ll learn about the local marine species and the regulations boats follow in Portugal for responsible dolphin watching.
