In the picturesque seaside city of Nafplio, the first capital of modern Greece, you’ll explore the old town and learn about its history as you see historic buildings, lively squares and the Palamidi castle above the city. There will typically be an opportunity to have lunch in the old town. The visit ends at the archaeological site of Mycenae, where you’ll admire the royal tombs, the great walls and the site museum, gaining a clear sense of the ancient civilisation that once dominated the region.
