  • Skip the Line: Copper Barrel's Premium Distillery Tour & Tasting

    Asheville
At the world’s first stillhouse legally using Wilkes County’s traditional steam‑injected distillation method, you will step into a space built around a historic technique. As you move through the site, you'll encounter the stillhouse itself and learn about the steam‑injected process that sets it apart from other distilleries. The focus is on the method and its role in producing spirits in the traditional Wilkes County way. Along the way, you'll see how that technique shapes the character of the spirits and why many experts consider these moonshines to be award‑winning and among the most authentic American spirits. The experience connects the craft of distillation with local heritage, giving you a clear sense of how traditional practice and quality combine to create the product the site is known for.
