On this ghost tour, presented by US Ghost Adventures and run by Windy City Ghosts, you will explore the darker side of Chicago’s North Side. The walk brings the city’s violent and mysterious past into view, taking you beneath the surface of what seem like ordinary streets and neighbourhoods. Along the way, you will hear stories about gangsters, bootleggers, bank robbers and the era of jazz babies.
The tour moves through Lincoln Park and explains the forgotten burial ground that lies beneath the area. You will be taken to the Lion House at the Lincoln Park Zoo and told about reports of a Victorian woman in white who is said to appear in the bathroom mirrors. As you move through other carefully chosen stops, you will learn about the strange and disturbing tales tied to each place, including the spirit that is said to have haunted Al Capone to the end of his days. The focus is on the stories and history that shaped this part of Chicago.
