Waves break off the point with split-peak rights and lefts, offering clean, lippy shoulders that are typically shoulder-high. The take-off is relatively easy and ocean-like, with a more relaxed first turn before the wave builds into a strong closing section.
This spot suits surfers with strong paddle skills and a consistent pop up. It’s well matched to performance surfing and practising manoeuvres, yet the slightly forgiving take-off also makes it appealing to casual surfers who want to rip. Hybrid and performance surfboards work well here. Sessions are also good for advanced younger surfers; the minimum age is 10 years, with exceptions possible for highly skilled youth.
