On this guided day tour you will walk onto the unusual terrain of the Matanuska Glacier. As you explore the ice, you will see and learn about many glacial features such as seracs, moulons and crevasses. Glacier access and guiding are included in the tour price, so you will be accompanied by a guide while on the glacier. Bring a camera to capture the dramatic ice formations.
Along the way there is a stop halfway where you can purchase lunch and snack items before continuing to the glacier. The experience focuses on being out on the ice and observing its features up close, with time spent walking and taking in the landscape under the guidance of your guide.
