This guided via ferrata takes you up fixed ladders, cables and iron rungs anchored to sandstone cliffs above a dramatic slot canyon. You will hike through ponderosa forest to the rim of Eye of the Needle™ and take in canyon views from the top before being lowered to the starting platform at the cliff band. As you move along the route, the exposed rock and narrow canyon walls form a striking backdrop to the climbing sections.
You will learn gear use on a 75‑foot practice wall and complete an assessment before the main climb. The route emphasises participant‑managed safety and technical skill development, with instruction and oversight from a professional English‑speaking guide. After the cliff section you will climb back up to the rim. This experience is best suited to people with a reasonable level of fitness who are not afraid of heights, can contribute responsibly to their own safety and can rapidly learn technical skills. Participants should be between 88 lbs and 260 lbs and at least 5' tall.
