In Ketchikan, Alaska’s First City, you will join a local guide for a lively walking pub crawl that mixes social time with local history. As you move between three neighbourhood pubs, your guide — a true Ketchikan local — will share colourful, sometimes infamous stories and show vintage photographs that illustrate life in this rainforest town. At each stop you may choose from some of the bars’ best-selling drinks and meet the genuine characters who give Ketchikan its distinct personality. Along the way you’ll get a sense of everyday life in the community and the town’s past.
This experience requires that you are 21 or older and carry photo ID. You must be able to walk about 3/4 of a mile at a reasonable pace and climb stairs. Walkers and canes are strongly discouraged, and the route is not wheelchair or scooter accessible. Be prepared for the weather and dress accordingly.
