This cycling adventure in Lesotho combines a dramatic 4x4 ascent of the Sani Pass with mountain-biking through the country’s highlands. You will set off by vehicle up the pass, then switch to a mountain bike to explore vast moorland, high plateaus and remote villages. A support vehicle runs alongside the route, so you can hop in whenever you need to and choose to ride as much or as little as you like while taking in the mountain views.
Along the way you will visit a traditional Basotho homestead for a cultural exchange and to sample freshly baked local bread. Lunch will be at your choice of the Highest Pub in Africa, at a quiet local restaurant, or you can bring your own packed lunch. The experience is suitable for all fitness levels and offers a chance to see Lesotho’s landscapes, meet local people and encounter the region’s unique wildlife.
