Wonderful location. Hosts were lifelong residents of the area so they answered our questions about what to see in the area and dining recommendations. It was very quiet as it was still in the shoulder season. The property is very new, well cared for, nicely designed. Breakfast was exceptional, with options for eating inside or outside on a private patio area. The swimming pool was not opened for the season but it looked like a nice feature.

Amazing sea and sunrise view from the balcony, the supermarket and the beach is just a 5 min walk from the apartment. There’s AC in both of the rooms which is great in the heat. Hosts Maja and Vladimir were very warm and helpful with everything. The fixed taxi service is good to visit the surrounding towns like Opatija. We also really liked the secret garden with sunbeds and kitchen&grill.

We never met the host, but I was impressed by the instructions for how to enter the apartment--easy to find and access. We loved that it was a quiet upstairs room in which you could hear the patter of rain on the skylight. The place was cozy and welcoming. I wish I could remember the kitchen more. Parking was easy to find--on the street south of the building. You pay for it (meter), but that's fine and easy to navigate. Good walking access to a beautiful walkway along the coast and to downtown Opatija.
