Very friendly hotel with excelent food.

Very welcoming host. The room was very well cleaned, beds were comfortable. Two balconies, one of them with lake view. 100m from the ship station, that gets you around the lake.

What a fabulous place to spend our first lakeside holiday in Austria. Our room is over the top wonderful; elegant, spacious, light filling room design. Balconies abound. Excellent views of the lake. An awesome location. As I write this review we have only been here 12 hours. We arrived after dark on a mid September evening and not been here an hour when both of us wished we could stay here longer than the 3 days of our reservation. For us the weather has been just perfect; so that is always nice. I hope my gushing isn't too much because then every one will want to come here and experience this delightful little Shangri-la. 10 out of 10 I highly recommend this place.

Nice accommodation, wonderful position and a very pleasant owner. Close to the lake, close to city center and close to places of interest.

Very clean, everything you may need in the kitchen. Large balcony, enough for a family. Very friendly hosts, they even pay for the sun hair, my husband broke.

Location is ideal for the area plus the view is the best!! Host is friendly and helpful and speaks good english.

The 2 greatest advantages of this hotel were breakfast and lake pier. Breakfast was rich, varied, with a super good combination of sweet and savory options, eggs, coffee, cheese, meat, etc.. Actually the house stands on the hill, approx 10-15 min walk from the lake and the S-Bahn stop, but at the lake itself they have a private beach house with a private pier. The keys for the pier and the wooden cabin are attached to the room keys. It was a great pleasure to chill in a sunbed and dive from the pier. Overall, very kind and welcoming hosts, taking great care of guests. The room was fine, quite spacious, all clean and well maintained, same for the bathroom. Thanks for the amazing weekend!

Our stay at Balance Spa and Hotel was heartfelt and truly special. The hotel is very family-oriented, and the staff make you feel genuinely known and cared for. They even surprised us with a special gluten-free birthday cake for our daughter, which meant a lot to us. The food was absolutely outstanding—gourmet-level, delicious, and made with so much heart. Every meal reflected the care and talent of Andrea Grossman, whose cooking is simply incredible and full of thoughtful touches. The sauna experience was another highlight, especially the Soul Aufguss led by Carmen. She created a beautiful, moving atmosphere and even sang during the Aufguss, which we really loved. She also prepared a special cream for us to use between sessions—a lovely detail. The room was comfortable, and the cleaning staff were exceptionally friendly and warm. Overall, Balance Spa and Hotel is a place where you feel personally cared for in every detail.

A perfect place for rest and relaxation with the family.

Absolutely stunning location and historic building and grounds. Staff was very friendly, food and drinks were great, and so many options for activities from Tennis to swimming to waterskiing. Great rooms for families.

Nice views and good parking options.

This is a great hinterland hotel, very charming and well kept! Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The room decor is a bit old-fashioned and traditional, as seen on the photos, but it gives off a charming vibe. Hotel restaurant is beautiful and the breakfast we had was really good! The entire hotel area is peaceful, views of lush greenery and mountains are amazing and the outdoor hotel area is perfect for a relaxing experience. The location is great for exploring the trails and nearby walking paths and also close driving distance to grocery shop, lake, beach and Klagenfurt centre. The staff is very helpful and friendly, they have made our stay even more pleasant! We would love to stay here again.

Beautiful location. Lots of amenities. Free parking. 24 hour desk service if you’re on the road. Friendly and accommodating staff. Plenty of breakfast options. Overall it’s a large complex with enough capacity to service guests of varying requirements. Highly recommended.

The apartment was spacious, clean, beautifully decorated, and equipped with everything we needed! Our stay was very comfortable, and the views of the lake from the amazing balcony were incredible. We wished we had more time there—we absolutely loved it! The hosting family was incredibly nice, and we were lucky to meet them. The few days we spent there were definitely a highlight of our trip. If you're planning to visit Austria and this incredible lake, I highly recommend staying here. Also, be sure to check out Solid Golf in Klagenfurt while you're there, you're sure to have a fun time!

Everything was exceptional - location, astonishing views and nature, excellent food, cozy beach with plenty of free equipment, proximity to railway station for visiting nearby attractions, friendly and helpful staff.

Clean room, exceptional restaurant, amazing stuff. Especially Anya, in the morning shift. She went out of her way to help and accommodate everyone.
