Good disposition and service of Efrain, the attendant. It sounds like Efrain has been working there for many years. It does not look as if he is fully covered in the social security of the Colombian Labor Laws.

I love the stay in Casa Mono Cuco . I think it's the best choice around ! The place is a house with multiply A/C confy rooms . It's a walk to Playa Blanca and some restaurants. The place serves breakfast , lunch and dinner , which were the best choice around ...and good cost . My best recommendation is to bring with you from the city center water and some groceries , because you don't want to go ups and downs to the city center, while you are close to the beach ⛱️ 😉. There is a kitchen to use for small cooking and food storage👌

"Cabanas Positano" is a property inside a larger gated community, "Mirador de Playa Blanca". The owner got me in touch with the caretaker, Oscar, who lives nearby and can communicate using WhatsApp. Oscar then opened the gate for me and gave me the keys. The unit I had was a one-bedroom apartment that occupied the ground floor of the owner's house. It had windows in all 4 directions, providing great ventilation. It was lovely to have a full-size fridge in the kitchen, with plenty of space to put a box of ice cream, a watermelon, etc. Plenty of power outlets in all walls make it easy to plug in all your devices at the places where you want them to be. The site is within 4 km walk or drive from downtown San Antero, for all your daily shopping and services. The sea beach was within 800 m walk/drive away, and for those who want to stay away from sharks and jellyfish, there was also a pond on the property, maybe just 50 m away. (Not sure if one is supposed to swim there, but the water was OK, with some shade from a bamboo grove). The apartment-complex-style swimming pool of the gated community was fine too. The location meant a lot of privacy and quiet (at least outside of the high season for local vacationers), very different from a noisy beachside or roadside hotel.

Beautiful decoration of the place and the rooms, the rooms are very comfortable and the dinner food was very delicious.
