Wonderful people, neat and clean premises, a great selection of drinks to purchase, and they make a fantastic chicken burger if you don’t want to go out for food!

Nice, small, cozy, located at the top of a little hill, quiet, lovely sorroundings, friendly staff. Very family like style. Like a little lodge.

Its location is near the old town entrance.

I wish we had stayed at this hotel for at least a couple of nights. It’s located in a very picturesque and quiet area. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony and taking in the views. The staff are very friendly. We also loved the coffee machine and the breakfast area.

A very cosy place in the beginning of the old town. The ladies in the reception were extremely nice and helpful. The restaurant they recommended for dinner was a real treat for fish and seafood lovers. They don't have car parking at the hotel but you can park at the port (not free) which is 5 min walk through the old town. Breakfast was also very nice, only we weren't lucky to enjoy a sea view on the terrace as it was raining.

I recently stayed at the wonderful Pension Katrapona in Getaria. I was with two friends in a room with three beds. I’ve travelled a lot with these friends and very often a room for three is just a double room with an extra bed crammed in. But at the Katrapona we had a huge, bright room with lots of space for our suitcases. The room and bed were very comfortable and a great breakfast was served in the morning which invcluded fresh tortilla and bizcocho made by Itxaso, who made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. The Katrapona is in a beautiful old building that has been lovingly renovated right down by the harbour in Getaria. We very much enjoyed our two night stay in this gorgeous place. I would really recommend it if you are travelling in this lovely area.

Great stay, really comfy beds

Really nice place to stay when you travel by car and visiting surrounding villages. Short drive uphill from Getaria, also walkable. Big guesthouse in the middle of vineyards. Local and authentic feel. Nice view from balcony. Room was even better than seen from photos and for reasonable price. Very nice and helpful staff.

We really enjoyed our view, the kitchen, the large, comfortable bed, and the great location. In November free parking wasn't a problem, but the hosts had inexpensive paid parking as well. Although we didn't meet the hosts, they were incredibly helpful in offering tourist and restaurant suggestions, instructions on how to use the buses, etc. And they were incredibly quick in their responses! Very kind and warm.

Fabulous hotel. Felt luxurious but understated. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great facilities and nice additions like beach equipment, sauna etc. Great location for beach, town or coastal walks. It was a calm and relaxing visit.

Amaia and Aberri were awesome hosts and really really helpful. The location is super cool and right at the beach. Perfect for surfing. The Apartment has a good set of supplies for cooking and good amneties. The beds were very stiff.

Great location with easy access to beach, restaurants, and train station. Kitchen was well equipped with basics.

We liked the location, close to the beach and the city center. Modern building, clean appartment, good kitchen amenities. Nice balcony overlooking square and park viewing the hills. Issues were followed up swiftly by the staff, broken items were repaired, which we appreciated.

Everything was great. Crossing the street to check in was minor. Excellent place. We would stay again.

We made a point of staying at casas rurales during our Basque country travels and Jesuskoa was one of our favorites! Not only were the buildings and rooms exceptional in regard to style, comfort, and details, but also the grounds were spectacular. We had traveled via bicycle from Bilbao on our way to San Sebastian and the proprietor made sure we had a safe place to store the bikes (as well as charge e-bikes). Our stay happened to coincide on one of the evenings when the Casa didn't provide a dinner service but the proprietor helped us with a reservation at a nearby restaurant and even offered us the use of a property vehicle to drive to the restaurant and back so we wouldn't have to bike on the dark country roads at night. The next morning the breakfast was phenomenal and certainly provided us with the energy to cycle to our next destination! Despite our short stay, we will fondly remember our experience at Jesuskoa and would love to return for a longer visit if we find ourselves again in the Basque country!
