Fabulous house in a great location. Close to beaches and coastal walks as well as the lovely town of Tapia with restaurants, cafes, bars and shops as well as the small and photogenic old fishing port. Monday market and local shops gave a genuine sense of Asturias. Couldn't have been better.

I liked the rustic decoration and how quiet and peaceful the hotel and the surroundings were. it is located a bit far from the centre of town, about 20 walk so if you don't come by car have it in mind. The room was clean and the bed very comfy. The staff was helpful and relaxed.

The staff at Hotel La Ruta was exceptional. I initially booked the least expensive room which would’ve had me overlooking the main street in front of the hotel as well as being above the seating for the restaurant with its attendant noise, smoking fumes, etc. Esau bent over backwards to help me find an upgraded room for a small fee that would ensure me a good nights rest. He also provided me with an excellent map as well as great suggestions on where to explore. The room was clean and very comfortable The hotel was very conveniently located right along the Camino Norte.
