Lovely guesthouse in a beautiful location. Very friendly owner who welcomed us, no English but very easy to communicate with. There is not much to do in the small town but a great beach, and easy access to wonderful nature nearby. Chilled and relaxed stay.

Such a lovely place to stay! The host was so kind and took such wonderful care of me, I’m so glad I stayed here. It is 3 private bedrooms upstairs with shared downstairs, though I was the only one there for most of my stay. It was very peaceful. I recommend booking at least 24 hours in advance to be sure someone is there to let you in, as it can be difficult to contact them last minute (the host does not live there). Lawson is around the corner, and only a 10-15 minute walk to many restaurants. A great choice in Shingu!

The owners are so enthusiastic and helpful, and treated us like family. Even though we were only there a short time , it was a very special stay . The location was great , close to restaurants and the ocean . It was very clean and comfortable and excellent value for money . I would highly recommend this place, we loved it and would have loved to stay longer and get to know the people better .

Wonderfully hospitable hosts and great location just a few hundred metres to the beach or the Kumano Kodo trail. And just 1 km from train station. Ideal spot to stay if you are doing the Iseji Route of the Kumano Kodo!

Very nice and big accommodation. It’s just across the beach, so we enjoyed the lovely prepared breakfast directly facing the morning sun above the ocean. The owners gave us priceless tips so we had a wonderful time discovering the beautiful nature. Don’t miss the chance to visit the Doro River.

This was one of our favorite stays! The balcony overlooking the bay had a nice view of the water, very quiet and peaceful little town surrounded by mountains and water. The guest house was beautiful and thoughtfully designed and the futons were comfortable to sleep on. We were right across the street from the water and we had a lovely walk on the beach. The host was very friendly and welcoming, he gave us some clementines he had grown and he also gave us a great recommendation for dinner.
