Beach Hotels in Shirahama

We had a large apartment with all modern facilities provided for 7 days. We were on the 10th floor with a wrap around balcony which gave us 280 degree views of the ocean, Kii Mountains and Shirahama town. The complex is very new so all accessories were in very good order. The bath for a Japanese facility was very large and thus used often. We chose this apartment complex because of it's location to the beach, supermarket and onsens. We especially enjoyed being able to cook for ourselves and everything necessary for that was provided.

The whole experience is soothing and comfortable. From the interior design to the dining and Onsen experience, everything is great. You can truly relax by spending the whole day in the hotel. Start with the onsen experience, the enjoy their dinner meal, rest a bit in the room thereafter and enjoy onsen again. Outdoor, private and indoor onsen are all great, even the unisex onsen is great, and clothes are provided if you want to enter.

Very close to the beach - about a 7-8 min walk. Free parking in the front and back of the hotel if you’re traveling by car. Breakfast was delicious.

The place is well located and clean

We chose the apartment with seaview options. Got the whole apartment with two bedrooms to ourselves. It’s really big and roomy. The apartment has a toilet and sink. It has a kitchen inside the apartment too but no cooking utensils so we used the community kitchen to cook our foods. There is no shower or bath inside the apartment. We used the onsen for that. Love the ocean view. The staff speaks English very well and very helpful. We love the beach across the street. It’s conveniently located near bus station and stores.

Huge hotel rooms with excellent facilities. 50m from the stunning local beach. Lovely onsen and spa area along with nice relaxed hang out/viewing spaces high up in the hotel and in the main reception area. Great washing and drying facilities onsite were very welcome too.

This place has a 9.1 rating and most reviews seem too good to be true but trust me on this, this place is THAT good. And I would rate this hotel a 100 out of 10 if I can, the high rating is truly deserved. The staff is very kind and welcoming. The rooms are clean, spacious, and the futon is comfortable. The location is great, there are many food places nearby, the beach is just a few minutes walk away (you can even see it from your room depending on where you are placed), and the bus stop which will take you to the station or most places around Shirahama is very near.

Very cute decor and interior design with a nice functional kitchen space which was free to use. The common space was also very nice and we could use it at any hour of the day. Location was also very close to the beach and the host was very kind.

Clean and confortable rooms. The hotel offers a nice breakfast buffet and a good onsen.

My dream home would look like this. Would definitely come back again. It’s so homey and clean. Have everything you can think of! Room is so quiet and comfortable, spacious. Have our own kitchen as well! Loved the green theme bathroom.

The onsen was incredible. The food for breakfast and dinner was incredible too.

Hotel provides shuttle bus service to and from JR station as well as some other attractions. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Tasty foods are provided for both dinner and breakfast. View from room is excellent.

The hotel was a fun experience. It is a traditional ryokan and onsen. We did feel slightly out of place with being one of only a few foreigners, but everyone was nice and accommodating. The food was delicious and the atmosphere majestic.

So much space for the price. It’s right in front of the beach for an amazing view. The host was super accommodating. He helped me make restaurant reservations (which you 100% need as restaurants fill up quick), gave me recommendations for what to do on the island and he even provided a bike so I can travel the island in a unique way. After visiting Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka, this hotel was the perfect place to recharge from the chaos of the city. I can’t recommend it enough.

Onsen was very nice! I liked the beds, comfy with cotton sheets although pillows and comforters seemed to be polyester, the sheets were very nice! The staff is very kind, and they helped provide me glasses and hot water to brew my own coffee!
