I stayed here 4 days after very long flights from the US to recover my sleep. Riverrina is a very quiet and peaceful place to relax. The swimming pool is large, clean and refreshing. There is lots of wildlife on the grounds--such a delight to wake up to the many birds singing. (Listen for the kookaburra!) Ask to look at the Dutch canal and the tree with bees! The staff is exceptional--they always appeared as soon as I came downstairs to see if I need anything. I loved the Sri Lankan breakfast that changes a bit everyday. There are many choices on the buffet. Everything is spotless and well-cared for. Although it is a bit far from the airport, I vote it a perfect place to recuperate from a long flight before experiencing this wonderful country.

AC worked great, bed super comfy, great balcony. Breakfast was delicious. Sharmila and her husband are wonderful. It was an excellent stay.

The staff without a doubt. It is their friendliness, their helpfulness, and their desire to ensure the guests’ total comfort that make me want to visit the property again and again.

We loved everything about Morning Star. Pratham and Ronnie (plus all staff) were professional, accommodating with top end customer services. The place itself was very clean, quiet and satisfying. I want to highlight that my husband left his 2 phones in the room we were in and he probably realized it after a week. He called Pratham and asked him to look for it. They checked everything and finally when they found them, Pratham called us to give the good news. Now we are in the process of getting the phones back to the UK. They have been superb.

Beautiful setting, comfy and delightful

Just the right place for me. Quiet and calm. Worth the price. Short distance to restaurants, nightlife, beach and shopping etc. Good location, easy to find. Tasty Sri Lankan breakfast. The cocktail Curly Special puts the finishing touch for my stay.

My family and I stayed there for a short period before our flight. The staff were friendly, warmly welcoming, and very helpful. They provided us with everything we needed during our stay. The location is excellent, right in front of the ocean and just a few steps from the beach. There are local shops and restaurants nearby. My children enjoyed swimming in the pool, and the room was equipped with air conditioning.

Brand new, beautifully furnished, oh so comfy beds, and such friendly hosts. This was the perfect place to spend the day prior to our long flight home. The individual cottages offer late check out and free airport shuttle. The breakfast was amazing, and so plentiful. Lunch and dinner are available and delectable.

I recently stayed at this hotel and had a wonderful experience. The staff was friendly and welcoming, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and all the amenities were exactly as described. I felt well taken care of during my entire stay. I’m very satisfied with the service and would definitely recommend this hotel to others looking for a pleasant and hassle-free stay.

I loved this place. I stayed here for 10 days before flying home after 7 months of traveling. The staff was really nice!! And the breakfast was delicious. 😋
